Receptions

Receptions may be held in Fellowship Hall, an easy walk for your guests across our beautiful courtyard from either sanctuary or chapel. 190 guests may be seated or standing room is provided for 360 guests. Caterers appreciate using our commercial-grade kitchen. Relax at your reception, where service is provided by Presbykates, a volunteer service group of First Presbyterian Church who set up and serve at wedding receptions and at special church events.

For your wedding, First Presbyterian Church will provide:

A minister to provide for counseling and planning and to perform the ceremony. Guest ministers who will be performing the ceremony for the first time in our church shall make arrangements through the church office 2 months prior to the wedding day.

A wedding coordinator to assist in your planning and to direct the rehearsal. She will share guidelines for decoration, photography, and protocol. She may provide lists of florists, soloists, photographers, reception facilities, and caterers. She will organize the rehearsal and assist in making this meaningful occasion run as smoothly as planned.

An organist/pianist to consult regarding your musical selections and to play at your rehearsal and wedding. In order to maintain the dignity and orderliness of the wedding service, the organist will have final approval of all music performed.
