What Kids Learn
There are many Bible stories children and students hear on Sunday morning in their programs and it can become overwhelming. With each of the Bible lessons we teach on Sunday mornings we want to make sure we are always reminding children of these core truths.
- God’s Love is for Everyone
God’s love is not limited, it is for everyone-it doesn’t matter where you are from, what you look like, or what you do. God loves everyone.
- Share Jesus’ love with Others
Jesus asks us to share his love with the people around us through our actions, words, and service.
For Teachers/Parents: (specific examples: sitting with someone at school who is lonely, being a friend to someone who is being excluded/picked on, sharing a meal, volunteering to serve, helping your parents around the house, etc. )
- God Made You Awesome!
God has created each of us uniquely! God loves each one of us just the way we are and for who we are becoming. We are created in the image of God which means we have value and purpose!
- The Bible is the Story of God’s Love for Us
The Bible is a wonderful source of wisdom and truth for our lives. Though some stories can be challenging to connect with our lives we still look to it for guidance. We take the bible seriously, not always literally. For example, in the creation story we focus on the larger truth that God intentionally and purposefully made us.
As parents, it is easy to feel like you are lost and doing this alone. We want to help by providing some resources you might find helpful when it comes to parenting. Here are some great resources as you parent your infant through 18-year-old.
